Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera (4507C006). The Canon EOS C70 camcorder is a new generation RF Mount Cinema EOS System camera featuring Canon’s 4K Super 35mm DGO sensor. The Canon EOS C70 introduces RF Mount Technology to the Cinema EOS System and features Canon’s cutting-edge 4K Super 35mm DGO sensor. With 12-bit RAW Recording, 4K 120P Slow Motion, High Dynamic Range, and Eye AF in a compact body, it takes the RF System into a brand-new era.
The Canon EOS C70 features 12-bit RAW recording with Cinema RAW Light up to 645Mbps, truly unleashing the exceptional capabilities of its Super 35mm DGO sensor. Three Cinema RAW Light options are available including LT (Light), ST (Standard), and HQ (High Quality), as well as options for Super 35mm and Super 16mm formats. In addition to the existing 4:2:2 10-bit XF-AVC and HEVC recording formats, the EOS C70 provides even greater workflow flexibility for your production needs.
Canon RF lenses offer exceptional quality and speed, with performance optimised for the EOS C70 and EOS R-series cameras. Super-fast focusing and outstanding optical quality combine with unique features such as a Lens Control Ring to provide additional control over settings. EOS R System adapters offer additional creative control, enabling filmmakers to use their existing EF and EF-S lenses. The Canon mount adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x is an EF to RF mount adapter for using the broad range of Full Frame Canon EF lenses, whilst maintaining the same Full Frame angle of view when used with Super 35mm format.

Compact, Lightweight and Reliable
- The EOS C70 features a new design, including a multi-function grip with 3 customisable dials and multi-directional joystick. The camera is built to be a tough and lightweight workhorse, thanks to the carbon fibre polycarbonate body. The compact design also enables it to be comfortably rigged to drones, gimbals, hand-held or shoulder rigs, as well as FPV helmets and vehicles.
A dual gain sensor that delivers more
- On the DGO sensor, each pixel will read out the image with two different amplification levels, one high and one low, which will then be combined to make a single image. The higher amplification read-out is optimized to capture clean details in darker areas, while the lower amplification read-out is optimized to capture the details in brighter areas. Hence, when combined together at pixel-level accuracy, the details and the qualities on both the highlight, as well as the low light areas will be maintained and enhanced which enables the camera to achieve an impressive higher dynamic range of up to 16+ stops.
