Panasonic Lumix DMC-G80 Digital Camera Body

5-Axis Dual I.S. 2 boasts more effective suppression of blur. New gyrosensor controls the distribution of Lens I.S. and Body I.S. compensation, and achieves max. 5-stop compensation effects*. It is highly beneficial in both wide-angle and telephoto setting. An electromagnetic drive shutter unit and the durable magnesium alloy front frame also reduce shutter shock by approx. 90% compared with the LUMIX G7. * Based on the CIPA standard. Yaw/Pitch direction: f=50-140mm (35mm camera equivalent f=100-280mm), when H-FS14140 is used.

To be tough enough to withstand even heavy field use, the LUMIX G80 adopts rugged design in splash/dustproof construction. A 2,360k-dot high-resolution OLED Live View Finder boasts high 1.48x / 0.74x magnification (35mm camera equivalent), which makes it easy to see image details. It also features an eyepoint of approx. 20mm, which offers high visibility with comfort for users wearing glasses. To further enhance the controllability, the LUMIX G80 comes with ergonomically-designed thick grip for a stable holding even in one hand.

Thanks to the 4K technology, you can capture unmissable moments with 4K PHOTO at 30fps. The DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology instantly calculates the distance to the subject by evaluating two images with different sharpness levels, and achieves ultra high-speed AF and 6fps burst shooting with AFC (* 9fps with AFS). The compatibility of the UHS-II SDXC/SDHC Memory Card and increased buffer memory elevate the maximum number of recordable images in consecutive shooting up to 300 (JPEG) / 45 (RAW) or more.

LUMIX G80 achieves crisp, high resolution image in detail with high contrast, impressive colour reproduction. Removing the Low Pass Filter, the limiting resolution is improved by approx. 10%* while detecting high-frequency components to suppress the generation of moiré by the Venus Engine. Combining the Digital Live MOS Sensor and Venus Engine renders clear images with minimum noise even in low-light situations and a maximum sensitivity of ISO25600. * A Panasonic comparison with the LUMIX G7.

The Post Focus function enables you to select in-focus area even after shooting. It is helpful in situations like macro shooting where severe focusing is required or for changing expressions by changing focused subject. The new Focus Stacking function enables you to adjust the depth of field after shooting by combining multiple images. You can get an image with exactly the kind of defocus you want or pan-focus the image by simply selecting the focus area. This is beneficial when shooting macro shots of insects, small accessories and so on.
