This is Panasonic’s new PTZ camera the AW-EU 150 which shoots 4k 60p with a twenty times optical zoom and a 1-inch CMOS sensor. This sensor ensures that the camera is much better in low light than a lot of similar cameras on the market.
There’s now a 75-degree field of view on the EU-150 which is a nice improvement from the 60 degrees on the original HG 130. The camera can also manage multiple outputs simultaneously. So, there’s IP output and IP control, there’s also a 12 gigabit SDI output for doing 4k at 50 or 60P through the SDI. There’s 3G SDI and HDMI which all work simultaneously with each other.
This camera has great connectivity and you can use all the Panasonic range of PTZ controllers. But there’s a new controller called the AWR P150 which will really bring this camera into life. The stand out feature is being able to select HD sized sections from a 4k picture on the touchscreen. From this, you will be able to move, pan and tilt the sections within the 4k frame. So, as you can see, you get a lot of functionality from this 4k PTZ camera.
