The Rycote XLR Holder Mk II fits between any 3/8″ male threaded boom pole or mic stand and any 3/8″ female microphone shock-mount or windshield system. The holder securely grips all XLR connectors, at a set distance from the side of the pole to prevent the XLR plug from becoming unclipped or making noise.
The XLR Holder Mk II is also strong enough to support the fitting of most standard plug-on transmitters. It’s made from a metal replacement polymer, developed in the automotive industry for SUV door handles. The material is stiff like a metal, but it also features a rubber additive to reduce brittleness and a UV stabilizer to prevent breakdown in UV light.
The Rycote Pistol Grip with Ratchet Lever is designed for use with the Modular Suspension System. The pistol grip handle features a comfortable design and ratchet style release lever. A 3/8″ female brass thread will adapt the pistol grip to boom poles and a slot for an XLR connector is molded in the side.
The Rycote Windjammer 3 is a synthetic fur cover that offers approximately 12 dB of wind-noise reduction over a standard windshield. It fits securely using locking zip fasteners and touch fasteners. The materials used are transparent to audio and will remain so if regularly groomed with the brush provided. Each Windjammer fits one specific size of Rycote Windshield. This windjammer fits the WS3 Windshield.
The Rycote Modular Windshield is a professional windscreen intended for use with microphones used in field audio applications such as film, ENG/EFP and professional video.
The Windshield is the core (body) of Rycote’s Mono Modular Windshield series and an array of interchangeable parts and accessories are available. Optional end-caps and extensions provide added length for accommodating larger microphones and mounts. Every windshield and part model is specified with a numerical designation, signifying different lengths and sizes. All windshield models include the necessary body and extension parts to accommodate the desired length.
